“We are a generation of young women who were told we could do anything and instead heard that we had to be everything.”

A woman in a wedding dress sitting on the ground outside, holding a bouquet of flowers in one hand and a small dog in her lap. She is smiling and wearing a bridal veil. The dog is dressed in a small outfit, and they are in front of a historic stone building with a black door and an outdoor sign.

I am Anneli Sears

Former corporate leader and coach for ambitious mothers. Mother to my 2 year old son and wife.

For over a decade, I worked as a Marketing and Advertising leader. I thrived in fast-paced corporate environments where pressure was normal and pushing through was expected. I was capable, extremely driven, and very dependable.

I was the woman who could take on anything, with people pleasing down to a fine art. Most of my self worth lived inside my work.
Then two years ago, four months pregnant, everything stopped. I was signed off work because the stress was putting my pregnancy at risk.

Like many ambitious women, I ignored the early signs of burnout. The exhaustion, the loss of joy, the sense that something wasn’t right.

Burnout didn’t arrive suddenly, it crept in quietly.

That moment changed everything. What brings me the biggest joy in life is helping and supporting others. That’s why I’m now on a mission to help working mothers recognise the warning signs early, take back control and build lives that are deeply fulfilling and joyful.

IS this you?

You did everything you were supposed to do. Everything society sold you as happiness.

You worked hard (most of the time), got the grades, went to uni, got the degree, climbed the ladder, landed the job with the title and the decent paycheck.

You’re married. You live in a lovely home. You have a family you love fiercely.

On the surface, your life looks fabulous.
But inside, you’re surviving rather than thriving. You should feel happy… yet you feel constantly stretched.

The reality is this:

Your job is demanding and doesn’t magically fit around nursery pick-ups and sick days. Your partner loves you, but he works long hours and relies on you emotionally. Most days, you’re carrying the full mental load alone.

You’re exhausted.
You’re overwhelmed.

You never seem to have enough bloody time.

Some days it feels like you’re failing at work, at motherhood, and at everything in between. And you quietly wonder why everyone else seems to have it together when you’re barely holding it all up.

You often think, “Is this it? Surely not.”

Here’s the bit you don’t say out loud:
You don’t hate your job. But since becoming a mother, your priorities have shifted and it no longer brings you joy. And yet you feel trapped, because the salary and the lifestyle depend on it.

You want more meaning.
More time with your family.
More space. A life that feels calmer, more balanced, more you.

But whenever you sit down to think about what you actually want, guilt kicks in. Or you run out of time. Or both.

You feel stuck in a cycle you can’t break.
And yet, deep down, you know this too: you are a powerhouse. You’ve achieved everything you set out to do before… so surely you can turn this around as well?

And I’m here to tell you — yes, you absolutely can.
